Sacred Sexuality is important to me because without it, none of us would be here. The keyword is 'sacred' which to me is presence and bringing conscious awareness into interaction with the sexual energy that creates everything in existence.
My work primarily is focused upon the energy of sexuality without its corruption and merging this with spirituality and remembrance of the Divine Mother Goddess what many call God or Creator.
I believe our nature is instinctually feminine, and by this I mean the primal force that regenerates life.
Through my experiences, exploring altered and expanded states of consciousness is what allows our soul to grow. This is not necessarily all through sexual acts but the actualisation and reality of the sexual energy that governs all, for example - the same energy that creates trees is the same sexual energy that has created us, the same energy used to make love, is the same energy that is used to create a painting, its one source of energy used for different purposes.
Just as we can use wheat to make bread and cake, we can use it to make adhesive and resin, same source, different purpose.
If you still view sexuality with the same mindset when you first discovered it as a young teen, there is a lot to learn and practice for fulfilment, not only in sexual relating but in life overall. This is where my work plays a part, to deconstruct societal programming of what sexuality is, learning from merging the sexual and spiritual and not p*rnorgaphy which has been found to be the cause of many disturbing sexual violations, including that of children.
Sexuality is part of life and without it, our spirit feels incomplete, dissatisfied with life because spirituality cannot fully exist without sexuality and sexuality cannot exist fully without spirituality, they must coexist for fulfilment, this is Tantra.
